Over the next several years, I managed find a cohesive thread to the songs that I had been working on for this project and finally, with the guiding hand of my brother Perry was able to finish it up. It's titled "Stockholm Street" and is comprised of songs that draw on the experiences I had as a child growing up in Brooklyn and Long Island in the 60's and 70's." I started this project in 2005 after a visit to my childhood neighborhood. My newest release is my second solo album. But the releases, started in 1993 when it became easier for independent artists to release their own material. I've been writing songs for as long as I can remember. So now with fifty (plus) years of life experience under my belt, I look back and see that I've managed to create a large and varied library of music. Sometimes it's just for a moment, and sometimes longer. With my music, for instance, I realized that the real joy in writing songs and performing comes from being able to really have an impact on people's lives. With over half a century of life experience behind me, I hope my music has become a reflection of the man I've become.Īs is the case for many people, the things that are most important to me have changed over time.
That philosophy is the driving force behind my music and, indeed, my life. It's about making an impact on the lives of others. It's about getting someone to think about something, help to get through something or relate to something.
